From Intern To Chief Executive Officer

Welcome!

This blog will serve the dual purpose of chronicling (spll chk) my experience in the music industry and a public diary for my fellow young professionals. My goal is to motivate you by showing that dedication, patience and plain old enthusiasm can lead a person to do great things. I am motivated. I am determined. However, truth be told I'm not extraordinary. I am everyone. I have aspirations. I have fears. BUT, I will not fail.

In fact I can't because I won't allow for it.

My name is Chris Anderson. I am a 2009 graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Music. Starting on July 6th, I will be working as an intern at Violator Management in New York City. As of today, June 19th, I have no idea what my initial responsibilities will be. However, this is the beauty of this both the beginning of my journey and this blog. Together we will chronicle my progress in the music industry and hopefully there are others who will share my aspiration of becoming the Chief Executive Officer of a major record label. OR just anyone who has big dreams. Being C.E.O. just means you are the boss of bosses. It means that you have gained total control over your professional life. Now realistically we can't ever gain TOTAL control of anything within any industry. However striving for the top is more about the journey and less about the destination. We are the creative and ambitious minds of the future and it'd be a travesty for them to go to waste. Please understand, my goal with this blog will not be to boast in my triumphs and/or vent in my failures. I merely want to document this exciting time in my life as well as give testament that as long as we have faith there will always be light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.

In the words of the upcoming megastars Drake "Drizzy" Graham and Tremaine "Trey Songz" Neverson: "I just wanna be successful."

Yeah fellas, I f*n feel ya.
